I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome in my wrists and was told I would have to eventually undergo surgery once it worsened. Dr. Abate has been manipulating my wrists for some time now and I rarely have discomfort in my wrists anymore!

For the past six years I have suffered from migraine headaches, which have also contibuted to muscle spasms and imflammation in the shoulder and neck. The intensity of the headaches was often at least a 7/8 out of 10. I had been seeing a neurologist for three years and he had decided botox injections in the forehead and neck would be best. This had little to no effect on my headaches. He was therefore 'dumped' from my schedule. After pressuring the General Practitioner, he referred me to a massage therapist, which resolved most of the spasm and brought partial relief for my headaches. The General Practitioner then reverted to various drugs in an attempt to resolve the continuing problem - this in turn caused staomach problems. In November 2007, a friend said she had been going to a chiropractor for maigraine headached. I started to see Dr. Abate starting the last week of November 2007, and within 3 months, my headaches decreased to minor slight occasional headaches. I now take no medications for headaches, which helped my stomach and the chiropractic adjustments have nearly resolved the headaches!

My son Michael, has suffered from severe asthma for the past 3 years. He takes several pills a day and uses sterdoid inhalers, plus a nebulizer and receives allergy shots. He hasnt been able to things he has interest in such as running cross country, swimming, or playing baseball (he had an attack at try-outs). We have to monitor his activities very carefully, it has been very difficult. A friend of ours referred us to Better Health Chiropractic, but i didn't really see how chiropractic could help with asthma (boy was i wrong!). On February 20th, 2009 my son ran the mile at school (in 8mins 35 secs.)!! No phone call from the school, no nebulizer, he didnt even have to stop running, he couldnt believe it! The Doctors and staff at Better Health really do know what they are talking about - I think the main thing is that they care about their patients and truely want them to get better. I feel with the help of chiropractic he is well on the way to enjoying things he loves drug free! THANK YOU!

Thirteen years ago, I was in a car accident. After the accident I went to numerous physicians. I tried accupuncture, massage, and more. You name it, I tried it! I had my first surgery in 1997, they removed my first rib. I had my second surgery in 1998 and found out that my first surgeon messed me up worse than I was before the first surgery! Needless to say, I was a trainwreck. I was put on pain medication ( a lot of pain medication) and could barely function. I was told that nothing could be done for me except pain control. A friend then recommended Better Health Chiropractic. I was very skeptical. I had been to so many people trying to alleviate the pain that i was in, but i went anyway. Dr. Beavers and his staff have been GREAT! I no longer take pain medication and I can even hold a part time job now! SomethingI didnt think that I'd ever be able to do again. Most importantly, my family has me back again. I have my life back. I cant thank Dr. Beavers and his staff enough.

Before Chiropractic my back health was terrible. It went out 2 to 3 times a year. I was walking bent over in horrible pain.  I had gone to a chiropractor in El Dorado Hills on a non-maintenance program but it didn’t help.  I was a reporter and photographer at the time and I couldn’t go out on assignments.  Finally someone at work just said “We’re going to the chiropractor!” and took me.  I found Better Health Chiropractic in the provider book.  I can do all the things I want to do now.  Maintenance was not covered at first but now after years of maintenance I haven’t had a single problem.  I would really like to stress maintenance to everyone.
